There are 2 versions of the S.A./S.P.G. stamp: This version is almost square with rounded corners and shorter lettering. There is also a more rectangular version with taller lettering. Mr. Gibbs used it on Post WW2 rebuilds.
Other stamps used on the stocks were the circled 'P' proof mark on the pistol grip. Take your pick of which version was used, with or without serifs.
The drawing number D28292 was on the stock between the pistol grip and the hole for the sling loop.
The front hand guard had the drawing number C46006. The rear hand guard had the drawing number C46005.
